DZ-Rig DPM Special Collection

This is a very special limited offering of the our DZ-Rig. DPM (Disruptive Pattern Material) was originally developed in the early 1960’s and has had several versions, colour variations and evolutions since its inception. Originally developed by the British Government for the United Kingdom and the British Overseas Territories, it has been used and modified by the Netherlands, Belgium, Ireland, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Australia, Slovenia, Serbia, South Africa, Kenya, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Uganda, Zimbabwe, Brunei, Malaysia, Pakistan, Hong Kong, Nepal, Oman, Jordan, New Zealand, Figi, Belize, Jamaica. DPM as a pattern has quite possibly seen combat in more conflicts than any other pattern in world history.

In the early 00’s British DPM was discontinued by the UK’s MOD. Its original fabric has been dwindling ever since. Before it was too late, we decided to make a very special production run and found some of the remaining stock in the United Kingdom for sale.

We chose to manufacture this small quantity of fabric into our DZ-Rig, CF Daypack, CF2, CF3 & CF4, giving a complete package for your collection to tackle almost any mission or adventure.

This special offering has been manufactured in a lighter 300 denier nylon which has a PU coating for waterproofing. Making it a one-of-a-kind production run, and a perfect collector’s item for the enthusiast.

DZ-Rig

Having foresight, we have seen the need for a resurgence in traditional webbing. As the very real potential for near-peer threats loom on the future battlefield, soldiers will need more sustainment, more magazines and carry this equipment for extended periods of time with increased comfort. With our experience using traditional webbing, we have seen firsthand the advantages and the drawbacks of this style of system over the decades. Our goal of implementing a rig which revolutionizes this concept without the drawbacks—has now become a reality. We have designed a complete soldier system where a rucksack not only integrates with body armor, but also integrates seamlessly with full belt-order. For the first time in history, we at Crossfire have been able to properly accomplish this task. We present to you—The DZ Rig.

CF Daypack

The CF Daypack is the natural evolution of our tried and tested DG Daypack. We took our field testing notes from the legacy design and sprinkled in some major improvements where appropriate.

Available space has always been at a premium when integrating a smaller pack into a main sustainment style ruck. When stowing a standard smaller pack inside or trying to turtle shell it onto the outside in some DIY fashion, either way the end user ends up sacrificing capacity or having an off-balance system causing the user to be in forward leaning position which is biomechanically inefficient and can cause injuries.

The concept of our CF daypack is simple but extremely effective, it replaces the standard lid on our CF 2, 3 & 4 packs, allowing the full use of the main bag for whatever the end user’s needs are, while keeping the smaller packs weight perfectly situated high, close to the frame.

When time is of the essence during a mission, our daypack lid is quickly removable, allowing you to adjust your loadout in seconds.

CF1 (12-26L)

We began this pack’s journey with the design concept, “Make a 24hr pack do and carry many things. Make it versatile enough to function in many roles and capacities without hindering functionality. Make it small and make it big. Make these changes happen fast and in the field.”

This pack is based from our already tried and tested design, the DG1 “Spitfire”. We believe its next phase in evolution punches well above its weight class. The CF-1 is an incredible multi-tool, configure it small or large with our assortment of fast toggle pouches and removeable kangaroo pouch. Configure it in seconds depending on mission requirements.

First Arrow SO Tent

The First Arrow by Wilderness Equipment is recognised as the premier, double-skinned, expedition tent for lightweight travel in snow, across exposed country and in severe weather. This tent has many functional advantages over other shapes and configurations, something that most of its owners only come to realise after extensive use in conditions ranging from blizzards to torrential downpours. The Second Arrow by Wilderness Equipment is a high-tech, compact, 2-person, double-skinned expedition tent for ultra-lightweight travel in snow, across exposed country and in severe weather. It’s excellent flow-through ventilation also makes it perfect for summer and tropical use. It is also a perfect solution for solo or pairs looking for a roomier tent with 5-season performance.

Space Two SO Tent

The Space 2 SO breaks new ground in both design and performance, for lightweight trips through cold, wet country. We have used our unique dihedral 3-way pole hubs to create a low-profile, wedge-shaped tent envelope with an incredibly spacious interior. Excellent ventilation if needed for warm humid climates. With the use of low denier, high tenacity nylons throughout, the Space 2 SO is extremely light given the floor performance has not been sacrificed in the process – the high grade PEU coating delivers a minimum HH of 5,000mm. The Space 2 Winter is uniquely equipped to stand up to strong wind – the conditions that send other tents in this weight category packing. You can invert your ski poles and make them part of the Space 2 framework. Connect up the tent’s internal hub-to-hub tension cord as well and the Space 2 achieves a level of stability only seen in heavy, multi-pole geodesic tents.

The internal volume is maximised within a compact exterior, providing an extraordinarily liveable space uniquely suited to handling inclement weather. We have applied the materials and construction techniques used on our popular Space 2 model to create this smaller, lighter package for solo sleeping with a lower profile. We have used our unique dihedral 3-way pole hubs to create a low-profile, wedge-shaped tent envelope with an incredibly spacious interior. With the use of low denier, high tenacity nylons throughout, the Space 1 is extremely light given the floor performance has not been sacrificed in the process – the high grade PEU coating delivers a minimum waterproof coating (HH) of 5,000mm. Mesh Baguettes (2 X 3L)

Our multi-use mesh baguettes are almost identical dimensions to our standard baguettes. These baguettes are designed to toggle internally and externally to our packs. The high strength mesh allows you to use as a drying bag if hung externally. These baguettes are perfect for hanging items like wet socks externally to aid in drying time and to prevent the buildup of bacteria. Once dry, rehang internally in seconds.
