The DG3-AW pack is part of the latest evolution of the DG3 line. Developed in conjunction with the Scandinavian cold weather troops.     The quality and intelligent design of Crossfire continues to impress. Exceedingly well thought out for use with mittens or thickly gloved hands with all of the straps and zipper pulls. With the pouches attached more than enough room for mission essentials and extreme cold weather survival clothing and sleeping systems. Critically I think we missed the mark with the pouches off, there is no side pocket or ability or easily attach a smaller side pouch or sustainment pouch. Perhaps in the future there could be a molle panel that attaches in place of the side pouches using the same method to facilitate operational conditions shifting from temperate to extreme cold weather. My local training environment can range from -35degs F to 100+degs F in a given year. Extreme temperature shifts happen as Canadian arctic air often shifts down and carries with it heaps of lake effect snow. This pack is ideal for winter use on snowshoes, and capable of carrying the required winter packing list and then some extremely comfortably. Climb to Glory…
